What is Chevening?

Chevening is the UK government’s international scholarship programme for future leaders. Scholarships support a one-year master’s degree in the UK. Applying is free. Chevening in Peru

First, check eligibility

Current requirements include:

  • Eligible citizenship and compliance with residence rules.
  • An undergraduate degree and at least 2,800 hours of work experience after completing it; studies must have finished at least two years before the deadline.
  • A commitment to return to your country of award for two years.
  • Three eligible course choices and at least one unconditional offer by the relevant deadline.

Chevening has no English-language test requirement of its own; each university sets its conditions. Official source

How to prepare an essay for review

Bring the exact question, your draft and the official word limit. For the context interview, identify two or three specific decisions you made, who was involved and which results you can demonstrate. You do not need a perfect draft; you need to be willing to examine your evidence.
